SKIN FOOD
Before I start I guess I have to remind you ladies that Im not a nutritionist. Im simply a human who has payed close enough attention to my skin and how it reacts to certain food that I consume.
So to begin, for me sugar and dairy break me out. Period. Coffee also really upsets my skin, but we’ll just pretend it doesn’t as Im currently trying to work through my addiction. I have eliminated and reintroduced both enough to know that those are the culprits for attacking MY skin. For you it may be meat, or chocolate. We are all different. But if you have been struggling with your skin and have not tried to eliminate these two food products I would recommend trying it out for a period of time to see how your skin reacts.
Avocado-Avocados are filled with “healthy” fats which for me, feels as if it keeps my skin moisturized from the inside out.
Coconut Oil- I notice my skin glows when I add coconut oil to my coffee in the morning.
Limes/Lemons- Lemons and limes added to my water in the morning cleans me right out. I know that when my bowels are flowing regularly the waste is leaving my body that way, and not trying to push through my pores!
Blueberries -Blueberries are known for their antioxidant properties. Blueberries are filled with vitamin A, C, and E which are all good for the skin.
Veggies (a lot of them!)-I think vegetables by far do the most for my skin. When I slack on eating my vegetables I notice right away. I think this is because veggies are so nutrient dense and keep the blood healthy. They allow you to use the bathroom regularly, and gives you more natural energy, which for me produces a glow I can’t duplicate with any cream or serum.
Chia Seeds- Similar to avocado, chia seeds fats that are good for the body and are simple to add to any smoothie, or meal.
I would love to know some of the foods you swear by when it comes to taking care of your skin from the inside out!
